About the Team The Commission We are Australia’s Trade Remedies Authority, the Anti‑Dumping Commission. We support the Australian economy by securing a level playing field for local industry through investigations into allegations of unfair international trade practices involving goods entering Australia and administering Australia’s anti‑dumping legislation. The Strategy & Operations Branch The Strategy & Operations Branch plays a critical role in supporting ADC’s core activity of undertaking trade remedies investigations. The Branch leads the Commission’s efforts to realise our Strategic Plan, ensuring we respond swiftly to developments while upholding Australia’s trade remedies system with the highest integrity. By driving strategic planning, building capabilities, harnessing data to support robust decision‑making and for insightful policy guidance, and engaging with stakeholders across government, industry and the community, we work in concert to deliver on the Commission’s strategy and foster a cohesive and inclusive environment. The Culture & Capability Team The role of the Culture & Capability team is to ensure ADC staff have the necessary technical and other skills to enable ADC to deliver on its core activities effectively. We Provide Expert Services That Develop and build organisational capability: Deliver comprehensive training programs, both online and in‑person, that build technical expertise, leadership acumen and professional development. Champion culture and values: Advance the Commission’s culture strategy and plan by embedding our core values and promoting a workplace of accountability and integrity. Elevate recruitment and retention: Design forward‑thinking talent strategies to attract, develop and retain a diverse range of skilled professionals. Enhance communication and connectivity: Coordinate all‑Commission events, ongoing communications and training initiatives – including managing our SharePoint InfoHub and connectivity series – to keep staff informed, engaged and connected. Leverage shared resources: Work seamlessly with DISR to optimise shared functions and resources, ensuring effective and efficient outcomes. In this Role The successful candidate will lead with a passion for developing people and culture, oversee proactive change‑management efforts to help the organisation adapt and grow, and collaborate across the Commission to build a high‑performance, values‑driven environment. Qualifications Suitable tertiary qualifications (such as human resources management and/or organisational psychology) would be highly regarded. What You Will Do Lead and manage the C&C team, ensuring delivery of its core culture, capability, recruitment, training and development functions. Oversee program development and delivery, covering culture‑building initiatives, workforce strategy and technical and leadership training. Provide contemporary HR advice, including recruitment and retention strategies, and proactive learning and development support. Strengthen staff wellbeing and engagement, championing practices that promote wellbeing, diversity and positive workplace culture. Drive continuous improvement, working collaboratively and leading strategies that align workforce development with the Commission’s strategic priorities. Provide sound strategic advice to the Commissioner and senior leadership, influencing senior leadership and the broader Commission in matters of culture, capability and people strategies. Manage work programmes and projects, delegate tasks effectively and prioritise workflows in a dynamic environment. Deliver projects that enhance the Commission’s culture, capability and workforce management. Undertake related duties as required, adapting to evolving priorities and organisational needs. Eligibility To be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian citizens. Positions require a baseline security clearance; successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
