Executive Director, People Capability & Culture The Department of Justice delivers integrated criminal, civil and community justice services to enable a fair, safe and inclusive society for Queenslanders. The department is committed to building and supporting a highly engaged, healthy and effective workforce. The department plays a central role in shaping public policy and enabling reforms that directly impact all Queenslanders. In achieving these ambitions, the department is seeking an Executive Director, People Capability and Culture (PCC) who will lead with purpose and authenticity – someone who inspires a workforce to embrace change delivered with empathy and integrity, and upholds the values of fairness, respect and corporate service in an industrially complex organisation. The Executive Director PCC will bring strategic expertise in organisational culture, capability development and workforce transformation, ensuring staff are equipped, supported and empowered to deliver exceptional outcomes in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Assistant Director-General, Corporate Services, this pivotal leadership role will drive cultural transformation and capability uplift across the department. Leadership behaviours are embedded through the Leadership Competencies for Queensland framework, ensuring high standards of accountability, innovation and service delivery. Your impact Provide strategic leadership to build organisational capability and foster a respectful, inclusive culture. Lead contemporary HR, WHS and employee relations strategies that enhance performance and compliance. Strengthen trust in the HR function through expert advice, stakeholder engagement and operational excellence. About You Proven senior HR leadership experience within government or large, complex organisations. Strong technical knowledge across workforce strategy, employee relations and safety. Exceptional stakeholder management and influencing skills. A collaborative leadership style that builds trust and delivers results.
