About us Geriatric Care Australia (GCA) is a national, purpose‑driven clinical organisation delivering multidisciplinary medical care to older Australians living in residential aged care and the community. As one of the only groups with an integrated geriatrician–GP–nursing model, we support clinicians to work at the top of their scope while making a tangible difference to an underserved population. We are expanding our GP team across NSW, QLD, VIC, SA and WA and are seeking VR GPs who want more autonomy, better work–life balance, and a role that actually feels meaningful. Why Join GCA as a GP? What You’ll Do Provide ongoing GP care to residents in partnering residential aged care homes. Conduct comprehensive assessments, chronic disease management, advance care planning & medication reviews. Utilise telehealth for follow‑up consultations or RN‑triaged urgent reviews. Work collaboratively with GCA geriatricians, RNs and NPs. Contribute to care governance, quality improvement & innovation projects. Participate in multidisciplinary discussions with facility teams and families. What We’re Looking For VR GP (FRACGP or FACRRM) — essential. AHPRA registration with full, unrestricted Australian GP rights. Interest in aged care, chronic disease, and continuity of care. Ability to work independently with the support of a multidisciplinary team. Compassionate, patient‑centred approach. Excellent communication and clinical judgement.
