About the role This is a full-time (35 hours / week) contract opportunity until April 2026 and will be based in Dubbo. Flexible arrangements Ongoing opportunities About the role As Coordinator, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of a vital Family Preservation program that delivers high-quality, strengths‑based support to vulnerable families. This role is key to ensuring families receive intensive, effective case management to keep children safe and at home. Your leadership will empower a dedicated team of caseworkers committed to building strong families and improving long‑term outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of caseworkers to achieve program goals and uphold high standards of service delivery Oversee intake and referral processes, monitor family progress, and provide regular updates to the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) Deliver clinical supervision, both individually and through group sessions, to support caseworker growth and accountability Provide hands‑on support in the field, including participation in home visits and interagency meetings Build and maintain strong working relationships with DCJ and other key community stakeholders Ensure accurate data collection, reporting, and compliance with program requirements Embed culturally safe, evidence‑informed practices and support staff in applying relevant practice frameworks in their day‑to‑day work About you in the role You’ll be a confident and compassionate leader with experience supervising teams in child protection or community services. You will bring a deep understanding of the challenges faced by vulnerable families in regional New South Wales and know how to support caseworkers to both identify and mitigate child protection concerns in a way that strengthens family units and supports all family members to reach their full potential. What you’ll need Minimum Diploma in Community Services or related field Extensive experience in child protection, community services or working within programs that deliver intensive case management support to families or individuals (minimum 5 years) Demonstrated skills in providing supervision, encouraging reflective practice and supporting staff professional development Proven ability to work collaboratively with community networks and government partners Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in systems and platforms for case management and reporting A current Driver’s Licence Why Uniting?
