In this leadership position, you will support the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager in driving excellence, fostering a collaborative environment, and ensuring continuity of care. You will assist in managing day‑to‑day operations, including performance management, staffing, and rostering, while promoting positive practice changes. As a Clinical Coordinator, you’ll guide and mentor less experienced staff, contributing to their development and improving patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Nurse/Midwife Unit Manager to ensure consistent and high‑quality care delivery. Support the implementation of practice changes and contribute to ward/unit/service management. Manage performance, recruitment, leave, and rostering for nursing staff. Oversee financial planning, supply monitoring, and attend to operational responsibilities. What We’re Looking For: Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Nurse/Midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. At least 3 years’ experience or currently classified as a Clinical Nurse/Midwife. Strong communication, problem‑solving, and conflict resolution skills. Experience supervising student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced staff. Ability to work autonomously while managing multiple tasks and prioritising effectively.
