European Deli Manager

We’re searching for an experienced European Deli Manager & Cook to lead the operations at Oxley Village Markets and Papa Lugi’s. This role is perfect for someone who loves authentic European flavours, understands deli culture, and can confidently oversee a kitchen and front-of-house team with ownership and pride. Your Responsibilities Operational Management Lead day-to-day operations across the deli, pizza kitchen, and service areas Oversee, train, and motivate restaurant and deli staff Manage rosters, workflow, quality standards, and customer experience Handle stock control, ordering, supplier management, and cost management Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams Maintain compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational procedures Uphold high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and organisation Food & Product Responsibilities Slice and prepare European deli meats, cheeses, and antipasti Oversee pizza preparation, dough quality, toppings, and consistency Contribute to menu planning, seasonal specials, and new product ideas Ensure all food meets brand standards for taste, presentation, and quality Support kitchen efficiency through planning, prep oversight, and quality control What You Bring Experience as a speciality manager, chef, cook, deli supervisor, or similar leadership role Strong knowledge of European deli items and pizza operations Confidence leading teams and running a busy venue A proactive, organised, solutions-focused mindset Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of the space Excellent communication, time management, and decision‑making skills Passion for creating memorable customer experiences Why Work With Us?
