The Opportunity Working alongside industry-leading Partner Lina Fischer we have a rare growth opportunity for a Senior Associate to join our busy thriving front-end Major Projects and Construction team in Sydney. This role will see you acting for a wide range of public and private sector clients across the rail road water energy and building industries. As a Senior Associate you will play a lead role advising on the procurement structuring and delivery of high value complex major construction and infrastructure projects nationally. This Band-1 ranked team has an exemplary track record of leading on many of Australias largest city-shaping construction and infrastructure projects such as the Sydney Metro and the Hunter Transmission Project. This is a high-performing yet collegiate friendly and dynamic team who share a genuine passion for their work. You will also play an important role in supervising and mentoring junior members of the team helping to shape the future of the practice. What We Are Looking For To be successful in this role you will have: 5 years post-admission experience as a lawyer with demonstrated time spent in a senior associate (or equivalent) role gained in a reputable commercial law firm and / or inhouse; Strong background in advising on front-end construction projects with exceptional technical legal skills (in particular contract drafting ); The ability to take a lead role on matters with autonomy and minimal oversight project managing confidently and efficiently; A team player attitude with a passion for supervising and mentoring junior lawyers and working collaboratively with other practice groups; Well-developed commercial awareness.
