Tenure Track Assistant Professor in Computer Science The Department of Computer Science at The Technical Faculty of IT and Design invites applications for one or more positions as tenure track assistant professor as per 15th August 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter. The position is a fixed term full-time position with a view to permanent employment as an associate professor. The place of work can either be at the Aalborg Campus or the Copenhagen Campus. We will work together with you to develop your research talent through supervision, professional networks and pedagogical upgrading. As tenure track assistant professor your primary tasks will be research and research-based teaching. You will teach and supervise students at bachelor’s and master’s level, and you will contribute to the development of the department through of international quality. In your daily work, you will work closely with both Danish and international colleagues. Main tasks Independent research of the highest international quality including publication. Teaching, guidance and examination of bachelor’s and master’s degree students, as well as possible supervision of PhD students. Some degree of contribution towards attracting external research funding. The opportunity to collaborate with relevant national and international research environments. Your competencies We are looking for applicants with independent research-related qualifications at a high international level and a PhD degree in computer science or a related field, and you show potential to become one of the best in the academic field of the position. You are a clear communicator with potential of becoming a skilled group leader, and you can, under guidance, organize and conduct supervision and teaching at bachelor’s and master’s degree level. Completed pedagogical courses in supervision or similar will be a plus, as will experience with external research collaborations. We also draw attention to a stay or employment at one or more internationally recognised research institutions. As a person, you have good interpersonal skills, are inclusive and team-oriented and able to contribute to a good work environment. We expect you to be able to write and speak English at the academic level.
