Paramedic\Emergency Response Officer

As a Paramedic/Emergency Response Officer at Wolfram Limited, you will be responsible for providing emergency medical care and first response services to our mining operations at Mt Carlton Mine, North Queensland. In this 8/6 DIDO full-time role, you will be a critical part of our health and safety team, ensuring the wellbeing of our employees and maintaining a safe work environment. What you'll be doing Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid and advanced life support as required. Coordinate medical evacuations and liaise with external emergency services. Maintain medical equipment and supplies to ensure readiness for emergencies. Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate health and safety hazards. Deliver health and safety training to employees. Maintain detailed records and documentation of all incidents and treatments. Contribute to the continuous improvement of our health, safety and environment (HSE) management system. What we're looking for Paramedic certification or equivalent emergency medical qualifications. 5+ years of experience as a paramedic or in a similar emergency response role, preferably in the mining industry. Certificate III in Emergency Mines Rescue or higher. Experience with ERT Co-ordination, Planning and Training. Current registration with AHPRA and Paramedics Australasia. Advanced Life Support - Level 1. Certificate IV Workplace Health & Safety - Desirable. Drug and Alcohol Testing Certificate - Desirable. Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make critical decisions under pressure. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees and external stakeholders. Proficient in the use of medical equipment and emergency response procedures. Knowledge of relevant health, safety and environmental regulations. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
