Base pay range A$130,000.00/yr - A$160,000.00/yr About us TWH Advisory is proud to be partnering with our property and construction client to appoint a newly created Finance Manager role to their team in Prahran (inc. car park). The organisation delivers high spec residential projects for clients from Armadale and South Yarra through to the Mornington Peninsula, and also undertakes its own developments on behalf of the Directors. With the business doubling in turnover this current financial year, now is the time for them to invest in this finance business partnering expertise as they enter their next phase of business growth. As a privately owned business with a clear vision and excellent industry reputation, we are seeking an emerging Finance leader to join the business to complement existing tax and advisory services provided by a specialist firm in the CBD. We require an intelligent and articulate professional who is capable of reporting directly to business owners, and is happy to get their hands dirty in the detail but also able to be a commercial business partner to owners with big ambitions. Using their accounting credentials, the Finance Manager will further develop a robust financial reporting function that provides owners with accurate, timely and insightful data. Concurrently, they will also be a business partner to the Directors on job costing and forecasting, managing cashflow and preparing business systems and processes at scale to accommodate planned growth. About the role Responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include, but not be limited to: Preparation of monthly financial accounts & periodic cash flow reports; Ownership of management accounting for the business including preparation of monthly management reports & analysis of variances; Management of the AP and Debtor management processes, including line management of the accounts team; Project reporting across multiple sites to track profitability and performance; Coordinating regulatory lodgement requirements including BAS, Payroll Tax, FBT, GST & Income Tax; Manage payroll compliance processes including award compliance, payroll tax, single touch payroll and Workcover; Assistance with annual budgeting process; Commercial analysis of future site acquisitions & feasibilities; Management of insurance policies plus vehicle & equipment financing. About you To be successful in securing this role, you will possess: Full membership of CAANZ or CPA Australia. 4+ years’ accounting experience, including working with business owners. Commercial and financial leadership experience within property or construction related businesses (highly regarded). Understanding of key business functions including project management, sales, procurement and Health & Safety. The resilience and application of change management principles to succeed in improving risk management frameworks, financial models and financial reporting standards. Desire to lead transactional finance team as the business continues to grow. The highest standards of professionalism, integrity and ethics. Enthusiasm to work in a privately owned business and embrace the opportunity to build for the future and directly influence the owners of the organisation. Outstanding interpersonal skills, with an ability to develop and build rapport instantly with people. Experience with Xero, Buildxact, Smartsheets, Deputy & Buildpass apps are all desirable.
