Together we can do more. The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for the provision of compassionate and professional nursing care to all patients. The Enrolled Nurse is the patient/client's advocate and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District consistent with the LHDs policies, procedures and standards. The Enrolled Nurse works under the direct and indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse retains responsibility for their personal actions whilst remaining accountable to the registered Nurse for delegated functions. Professional development and active participation in the service Quality Improvement program are integral components of the role. All staff are expected to act as an appropriate and effective role model and promote culture and supporting practices that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment through demonstrated behaviours and interactions with patients, clients and employees. A Little About Us Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, located on Yuin Country, is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven Region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre and sub-acute Mental Health Unit.
