About the Role We are seeking a dedicated Day Roster Officer to join our Bulk West Team based in Welshpool. This role is offered on a full‑time permanent arrangement. As a Day Roster Officer, you will play a key role in maintaining effective rosters, crew deployment, and operational systems, ensuring safety, compliance, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Resource Allocation : Allocate resources for scheduled services based on operational requirements. Service Plan Management : Assist with managing changes to service plans, asset loading, and resource allocations. Address customer requirements and impacts of major disruptions. Roster Management : Ensure safety‑compliant crew rosters are accurate, entered into systems, and maintained to meet operational needs. Crew Deployment : Place competent operational employees on rosters and monitor their deployment to meet operational demands. Fatigue Management : Monitor fatigue management in line with rostering principles. Customer Service Support : Aid the deployment team by handling phone calls and administrative tasks to provide excellent customer service. Train List Information : Provide accurate and timely train list information to customers. About You System Proficiency : Ability to effectively use roster, crew allocation, train running, and fatigue management systems. Technical Skills : Proficiency in MS Office applications. Team Player : Ability to work effectively as part of a team and deliver results. Problem‑Solving : Capability to identify operational issues and collaborate on solutions. Analytical Skills : Good analytical skills and excellent time management. Industrial Instruments : Experience with interpreting relevant Industrial Instruments such as Enterprise Agreements. Communication : High‑level verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal Skills : Excellent interpersonal skills to relate well with employees and customers.
