House Manager Residential Care Location : Busselton Employment Type : 10 month Full-Time Hours : Monday - Friday with flexible work arrangements available Remuneration : Competitive package including penalty and overtime rates About the Child Youth and Family (CYF) Program Life Without Barriers delivers Out of Home Care services across Australia supporting children and young people who are unable to live safely at home. Our work is guided by Cornell University's evidence-based Children and Residential Experiences (CARE) model which promotes trauma‑informed, developmentally appropriate and relationship‑based care. About the Role We’re seeking a compassionate and committed House Manager to lead one of our residential care homes in Busselton. Reporting to the Operations Manager you’ll oversee day‑to‑day operations and create a safe, culturally respectful and therapeutic environment for young people with complex needs. This is a hands‑on role based primarily on‑site. Some shift work is required including public holidays and occasional early starts (7:30 am) and weekends with applicable penalty rates. Key Responsibilities Lead and support a team of Residential Support Workers Ensure the home is emotionally and physically safe, nurturing and engaging Build strong trusting relationships with children and young people Manage care planning transitions and stakeholder collaboration Roster staff appropriately and respond to crisis situations when needed Facilitate team meetings, reflective supervision and ongoing training Keep client records and reports up to date using the CIRTS database About You Certificate IV in Child Youth & Family Intervention (or similar qualification) Experience supporting young people with trauma and high needs Strong leadership and team management skills Confident in managing crisis situations and working under pressure Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Current unrestricted Australian Driver's Licence First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain) Why Join Us Be part of a leading national social‑purpose organisation Salary packaging options to increase your take‑home pay Ongoing training support and on‑call from our National After‑Hours Service Work that truly makes a difference in young lives How to Apply Include your resume and cover letter in a single document, click Apply and follow the prompts.
