About The Role Our Water Group is growing, and we have terrific opportunities for talented Civil & Senior Civil Engineers experienced in delivering water infrastructure solutions. In this position you will play an integral role amongst a diverse group of highly skilled professionals that ‘design with community in mind' to deliver program and project excellence for our water clients in both metropolitan, regional, and remote contexts. We have a healthy workload focused on water supply and sewerage schemes with key water authorities in New South Wales. You will join a dynamic and skilled team that works on water infrastructure projects, not only locally, but across the APAC region. As a Civil / Senior Civil Engineer You Will Plan, program and coordinate specific projects with the Project Manager to deliver the agreed outputs on budget, on time and to quality standards Manage and assist in the civil engineering design, design management, and project management from planning, feasibility/concept design, detailed design, and construction support of water and wastewater infrastructure as lead or member of a larger team Perform broad, varied and diverse water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design tasks, including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies Engage in the development of conceptual, preliminary and detailed design through producing engineering calculations, sketches, electronic models, diagrams, and other visual formats, and preparing documentation in various civil phases including site plans, utility plan/profiles, grading plans, cross sections, diagrams, submittal reviews and response to information requests as required Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects Coordinate technical activities and designs with personnel in other disciplines and departments, serving as a liaison between senior engineer and design team Ensure all technical outputs conform to the project scope, are safe and are of appropriate quality (confirmed by independent review) Actively participate in Stantec Information sharing network including knowledge forums and other initiatives that the Company may promote from time to time Contribute to proposal and bid development to support business development activities, including preparing proposal material as required To Be Successful For This Role You'll Present Bachelor Degree in Engineering – Civil or Environmental Engineering or equivalent Chartership or working towards is highly regarded For a Civil Engineer 4 years professional experience and for a Senior Civil Engineer 6 years’ experience in consulting or engineering within the water industry Proven design experience in the water and wastewater industry Strong technical experience in potable water supply, gravity and pumped sewerage systems, and recycled water networks Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants for regional and urban water authorities (highly desirable but not essential) Expertise in dealing with a range of clients and stakeholders including local authorities, government bodies and commercial companies Stantec Offerings Flexible Working Arrangements – Including options to work part time and flexibility to work from home Learning and Talent Development Programs and Training Purchasing up to four weeks’ additional leave Professional Registration and Memberships Salary Continuance Insurance (SCI) and Salary Packaging Employee Resource Groups such as and Connecting employees across Stantec through our Developing Professionals Group Mental Health and Wellbeing Programs including Employee Assistance Program Service Recognition Awards About Us The Stantec community unites approximately 34,000 employees working in over 450 locations across six continents.
