Join to apply for the National Clinical Coder role at Calvary Health Care Sydney, NSW | Melbourne, VIC | Permanent | Closing on: Dec About the Role Due to the ongoing growth of our Centralised Coding Model, we are looking for highly proficient and experienced Clinical Coders to join our national team on a permanent basis. The role will be predominantly Clinical Coding with opportunities to participate in coding quality and education activities. Main Duties Accurately coding episodes using ICD-10-AM in accordance with Australian Coding Standards and relevant state and national advice. Ensuring all coding is completed in a timely manner in accordance with internal and external requirements. Participate in documentation improvement and revenue optimisation activities. Participate in coding audit activities as required. About You Bachelor of Applied Science (Health Information Management) or equivalent tertiary qualification; or completion of approved HIMAA course in ICD-10-AM intermediate coding. Experience and demonstrated excellence in Clinical Coding using ICD-10-AM Classification system across broad Casemix for a period of at least 3 years is essential; experience in a hospital or health care setting is desirable. Strong computer literacy. Ability to effectively prioritise and work to tight deadlines. Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
