The Enterprise Specialized Sales team at Workday helps the company to continue to grow by balancing integrity and innovation, ensuring Workmates have the environment to bring their best self, and get better by pushing and developing themselves and the Workmates around them. We are specifically looking for Workday experts ready to leverage their deep functional and product experience to drive Workday Extend adoption. About the Role Here at Workday, our Specialized Product Specialists are key players in our Field Sales organization. We believe that deep product mastery and functional understanding are the strongest foundations for value‑based selling. With a net new and customer‑based expand revenue focus, you will be the fuel for the growth of Workday Extend. This is a fantastic opportunity for a functionally experienced professional to transition into a high‑impact sales career. You will leverage your existing knowledge to: Be the Workday Extend Subject Matter Expert in the Sales Cycle: Drive conversations by articulating the functional value and real‑world applicability of Workday Extend solutions, drawing directly from your implementation/consulting background. Develop and drive the overall short‑term strategy for the account, aligned to customer business objectives and building & maintaining long‑term relationships. Be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with customers and channel partners with a focus on deal management and connecting customer needs with specific specialized products Workday solutions. Work with Net New and Customer Base AEs to identify potential Workday solution sales for existing specialized products. Maintain accurate and timely customer/prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data. Translate Functional Pain Points into Strategic Solutions: Use your understanding of current Workday customer challenges and limitations to propose Extend solutions that deliver quantifiable business outcomes. About You We are looking for an individual with a proven track record of mastering the Workday platform, who is ready to pivot that expertise into an Account Executive career. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of demonstrable functional experience working directly with Workday Extend (implementing, configuring, or supporting custom applications and capabilities). Proven ability to translate deep product knowledge and functional specifications into clear, compelling business value propositions. Experience with account planning and coordinating with internal stakeholders (like Pre‑Sales, Services, and Core AEs) to create strategic alignment. Demonstrated ability to develop deep product expertise on new products and stay up to date with industry trends (a natural skill for an experienced consultant). Preferred Qualifications (Ideal for a Career Transition) A passion for high‑impact consultative selling and an eagerness to transition into a quota‑carrying sales role. Strong communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging both technical and executive audiences. Prior experience in a consulting, pre‑sales, or customer‑facing role where you needed to influence business outcomes.
