Intrax Consulting Group is seeking a motivated Cadet Geotechnical Engineer (Casual) to support our internal Subdivision Site Classification Project across Victoria. This role will assist the Senior Geotechnical Engineer in coordinating, collecting, and managing key project data related to soil compaction reports, landscaping and drainage plans. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisation and communication skills who enjoys working across multiple teams, clients, and councils in the civil and geotechnical engineering sector. Key Responsibilities Liaise with developers, councils, and clients to request and collect compaction reports, landscaping plans, and drainage drawings. Maintain a clear tracking system of requested and received documents. Cross‑check and verify that the received data is current, complete, and accurate against project requirements and drone survey outputs. Coordinate with internal teams to create project numbers, compile documents, and prepare reports in PDF format for internal use. Support the Senior Engineer with administrative and technical tasks related to soil classification verification and estate data management. Ensure efficient communication and follow‑up with stakeholders to maintain project timelines. Qualification Undertaking a tertiary qualification in engineering or equivalent within field. Skills and Experience Assist with preparing reports by gathering and organising information, helping ensure content is accurate, well‑structured, and ready to share. Support the delivery of technical design and documentation by contributing to drawings, plans, or other project materials, while learning from experienced team members. Build strong working relationships with people across the business by collaborating with internal teams and understanding how your work fits into the bigger picture. Strong organisation and attention to detail. Excellent communication and follow‑up skills (email and phone). Basic understanding of civil, survey, or geotechnical drawings is an advantage but not essential. Experience with MS Office, Box, Net Suit or other data management tools. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Previous experience in engineering support, data coordination, or local council liaison will be highly regarded. Why Join Intrax?
