This organisation is leader in their sector in power and control as an electronics and engineering manufacturer of equipment in Australia. They have a substantial dealer and agent network for sales and distribution with a growing export market.Your opportunity is to lead the Research and Development leading a team of software and hardware engineers designing, developing and maintaining electronics based products. There is a very stable team of technical and service personnel, customer services, warehouse and sales support.We need you to provide technical leadership in software development while managing the engineering resources. There is high growth potential for you and the business.You will need good analytical skills, to be commercially astute and able to influence to get results in a positive "can do" culture.The organisation develops, creates and/or designs a standard or customised solution for the customer and support it with a 24/7 service department.Ideally you will have a strong background in C++ software development with competency in QT, Linux IOS and PC environments. Embedded software and project management experience is essential. Microprocessor hardware design and mechanical CAD systems, embedded systems toolchains would be an advantage. A mechanical, electrical background and be totally comfortable with technical equipment and the application of technology to the solution. Previous experience in export will be highly regarded.As you would expect on offer is a competitive remuneration package which includes; salary and superannuation.
