GRDC's purpose is to invest in research, development and extension (RD&E) to create enduring profitability for Australian grain growers. Grower Relations Manager – South Based in Adelaide or Horsham, with flexibility to consider other southern Australian locations. Role As a Grower Relations Manager, you will professionally represent GRDC and work closely with the Senior Manager and Grower Communications Group to plan, procure, manage, and monitor impactful Grower Extension investments. You’ll drive events and activities that enhance the adoption of research findings on‑farm, with a focus on grower profitability. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery of Grower Extension activities within your region and contribute to national extension programs. Engage, facilitate, and inform growers, panels, and industry stakeholders about GRDC research extension events and activities. Develop and maintain relationships with key extension providers and encourage grower participation at regional events. Provide investment proposals and business cases that address grower constraints and opportunities. Design, review, and quality control extension materials (e.g., webinars, field days, workshops). Leverage subject matter experts and extension partners to deliver research information for grower and adviser use. Monitor contracts and ensure projects / events are delivered as per agreed milestones. Collaborate on campaign design and promotion of Grower Extension events. Report and evaluate regional activities to measure performance and effectiveness. Other duties as required. About You Have a growth mindset and thrive in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment. Hold a strong work ethic with a proven ability to work autonomously and adaptively in complex environments with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrate at least 5 years' experience in an applied agronomic research and extension, or agronomic advising role. Have highly developed facilitation, presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills with an ability to influence, motivate, and develop others. Demonstrate sound business acumen, strong analytical skills, and an ability to develop valid business cases for investment with a focus on return to growers. Have experience in negotiation and project management. Hold a degree in Science, Agronomy, Agricultural Science or equivalent experience in a related discipline such as stakeholder engagement or agricultural extension.
