An opportunity comes up for a labourer civil construction apprenticeship and women are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be residing with 100kms from Jobsite Wallan, VIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Perform physical labour for construction projects, such as clearing and preparing construction sites Build temporary structures and take them apart as part of the construction process Backfilling holes, digging trenches and compacting earth Work as part of a construction crew to complete tasks Work closely with the onsite foreman to execute daily operations and meet project timelines Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment Assist with material handling, loading, and unloading as needed Reviewing allocated tasks and suggesting improvements to carrying out the work EXPERIENCE WORKING A COMBINATION OF DAYS / NIGHTS Strong commitment to safety with proven track record of safe operating practices Pride in your standard of work A positive, constructive "can do" work attitude Adhere to all relevant environmental and regulatory guidelines on-site Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to support the smooth flow of operations SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE Red / White Construction Induction card required (please attach with your CV / Resume) Current Australian driver's licence - mandatory Good and pleasant communicator Team player who wants to be part of a successful operation Valid tickets / certifications Applicable industries - Civil Construction, Earth Moving Plant, Logistics Government and RTO programs and applicability in industry Strong understanding of construction site safety practices and regulations Excellent problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions A positive attitude and a strong work ethic Experience in subdivision works Experience in digging trenches and working with trench shields Experience in boxing roads, bulk earth works, loading trucks / moxys, sorting material Compliance with all site rules and regulations #J-18808-Ljbffr
