About The Role St John Ambulance Victoria is expanding our team of First Aid Trainers who deliver training and assessment in first aid to corporate and public clients and provide education to the public at community program events. They conduct training courses in accordance with national frameworks, training quality standards, as well as organisational policies, procedures and protocols. The trainers provide excellent student experiences by delivering engaging training and assessment in first aid. The trainers will engage with members of the public in a range of community setting to promote first aid awareness and education. This role will require travel to Melbourne metro and regional areas and applications are welcome from candidates in Greater Melbourne or regional Victoria. As Our Ideal Candidate, You Will Possess You will be a have a positive & engaging communication style You will hold and maintain a relevant qualification for the delivery of Vocational Education & Training to meet the RTO standards. Newly qualified trainers are welcome to apply and will be supported by a comprehensive onboarding program Experience as a first aid responder, healthcare professional or in emergency management or a related field A demonstrated passion for training & education in the field of health, safety, first aid or other related field Ability to administer first aid to own level of training Basic IT skills and the ability and willingness to learn new technology Have a current driver’s license, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.
