The team includes MSK Physiotherapist’s (all with Clinical Pilates teaching experience), Women’s/Pelvic Health Physiotherapists, Paediatric Physiotherapists, a massage therapist and group fitness and Pilates instructors. A warm, modern space, The Studio is a pleasure to work in with bright natural light, spacious treatment rooms, rehab and class areas, premium equipment and a delightful balcony with a view, providing the perfect spot for lunch. The Studio clients are a mixed caseload of the local community; mostly able bodied weekend warriors, retired locals and Pre and Post Natal women. Pregnancy and Women’s Health is a huge focus area; all practitioners working towards a common goal - to empower women throughout all stages of life, in particular during pregnancy and postpartum; baby visits are a common occurrence The Studio is looking to fill a full time role which will be spread across our Physio and class offerings. Candidates should be experienced, confident, motivated and responsible. Candidates must have experience OR an interest in Women’s Health. Specialist training is not required but the capacity to treat prenatal conditions such as back or pelvic girdle pain and the ability to confidently prescribe pre and post natal exercise is required. Experienced candidates are of course welcome and encouraged, there is the opportunity for in house mentoring under a Masters level Pelvic Health Physio. Part time hours may be considered for the right candidate - significant experience required in this instance. What will the job look like? Independently assess and treat MSK and if appropriate; Women’s Health Physiotherapy patients (60 and 45minute Initial appointments, 45 and 30minute follow ups) Conduct Clinical Pilates Initial Assessments with the use of Real Time Ultrasound (previous experience preferred but not necessary) Teach Private and Semi-Private Pilates Classes (1:1, 2:1 or 4:1) using various Pilates apparatus (Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Ladder Barrel, Spine Corrector & Balls/Bands etc) // will need to be a master multi-tasker Teach Group Reformer, Mat Pilates and Mums n Bubs Group Classes; must be comfortable interacting with babies and children and confident in group communication/instruction Lesson plan group classes for varying levels of abilities and create a fun, safe, inclusive environment in classes Participate in team continued education and regular case study conversations Use down time for continued self development and Studio community interaction (posts for socials, blogs, participate in Studio classes, take initiative and help out with general daily tasks) Benefits and perks 5 min bus from CBD Vibrant buzzing area close to cafes, shops and a short walk to Balmain and beautiful harbour views Free access to Studio Group Exercise Classes (Reformer, Mat Pilates, Circuit training, Boxilates, Barre) Team inservices/continued education and optional social get togethers. Minimum 2 years Private Practice Experience required Confidence with Musculoskeletal Assessment, diagnosis and hands on therapy (dry needling experience preferred however not required) Clinical Pilates training & experience working with Pilates Equipment required Experience and confidence teaching group classes (eg Mat and Reformer Pilates) Experience teaching classes for Pre/Post Natal women Good time management skills and able to multi-task Takes initiative, sees a task and gets it done, must be a ‘goer’ Willing to work a mix of early mornings (6am start) and evenings (7.30pm finish) and Saturday mornings.
