Data Analyst Salary : $97,955 - $111,142 (Plus Superannuation) Ongoing, full-time role (flexibility may be available) Usual work location : 121 Exhibition Street, Melbourne CBD (flexibility may be available) The Role Reporting to the Director, Strategy and Insights, the Data Analyst is a key role that supports analysis of internal and external data to support the development of policy, government processes, and communicate the social, cultural and economic impact of the creative industries. Utilising statistical, coding and data visualisation skills, the data analyst will assist in disseminating and interpreting data sets to support the broader organisation. You will also work with Creative Victoria's First Peoples team to support self-determined engagement and help embed First Peoples perspectives in the work of Creative Victoria. Main accountabilities Undertakes technical data analysis and modelling and prepares reports Innovative thinking is an inherent feature of the job Defines the appropriate methodology in the analysis of policy or research options Researches and applies advanced theoretical knowledge in a specialised field to operational problem solving The Team The position of Data Analyst forms a part of the Policy and Delivery branch within the Creative Victoria group. Creative Victoria is the state government body dedicated to championing, growing and supporting Victoria's creative industries, and the benefits they bring to Victorians. We invest in the ideas, talent, organisations, events and projects that make Victoria a creative state. The branch brings together Creative Victoria's programs and investment in support of artists, creative workers, creative organisations, businesses, and portfolio agencies, with our work to manage and deliver world-class creative infrastructure. The branch also leads on policy and coordination across government and industry, and the development of Victoria's creative industries strategy.
