Department for Correctional Services SA – Whyalla SA Aboutthe Department for Correctional Services The Departmentemploys approximately 2,000 staff and has responsibility for nineprisons and fifteen Community Correctional offices across thestate. Duties The Team Supervisor is responsible for managing workloads, qualityassurance and continuous improvement processes and for ensuring theprovision of a high-quality case management service to offenderswhich complies with Enhanced Community Corrections ServiceStandards. The incumbent is responsible for providing leadershipand workplace supervision to all staff within a CommunityCorrectional Centre and promoting training, performance developmentand service excellence. The Team Supervisor will provide highquality services to stakeholders and promote Community Correctionspositively and professionally to all staff. The Team Supervisorwill contribute to operational planning and ensure that allservices and integrated with other key areas across CommunityCorrections. Special Conditions Section47 of the Public Sector Act 2009 applies in conjunction withother provisions of the act and other applicable industrialentitlements. Theincumbent is required to satisfactorily complete a NationalCriminal History Check; Acurrent South Australian Driver’s Licence isessential; Aflexible approach to working hours is required – theincumbent will be required to work between the hours of 8.45am– 5.00pm, Monday to Friday. It isexpected that some out of hours work may be necessary for whichtime-off in lieu is available. Someinterstate and intrastate travel will be required which maynecessitate overnight absences. Requirements For AHP – Appropriate degree or equivalentqualification which gives eligibility for full member of theAustralian Association of Social Workers. For PO– Appropriate tertiary qualifications in community services,sociology, criminology, justice, correctional practice, socialsciences, human services, health or related field. Desirable: Post graduate qualifications in a related field.
