Senior Systems Administrator (Packaging) Contract to Brisbane CBD + WFH Overview We're partnering with a Queensland Government department to recruit an experienced Senior Systems Administrator. In this role you will be involved in the management, development and operational delivery of application packaging and Standard Operating Environment (SOE) services to ITP's customers. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the successful ongoing management and delivery of our packaged applications. Provide management, development and support of the ITP SOE services. Provide Tier 3 desktop support services ensuring timely resolution, including SOE support and application deployment activities. Work within internal and external teams to deliver projects and new service initiatives. Undertake research and analysis on new services and products to improve the efficiency of existing ICT systems and processes and be pro‑active in recommending relevant solutions. Liaise and consult with other ITP teams (e.g. software purchasing), departmental work units and service contract suppliers to manage and resolve service incidents, problems and requests. Report regularly on actual service performance and comparison with expected service levels. What We're Looking For Experience using application packaging tools and sound working knowledge in application deployment and monitoring of deployed applications. Demonstrated experience and sound understanding of the technical issues and solutions associated with supporting application packaging and delivery activities e.g. Microsoft Configuration Manager, Citrix XenApp, Microsoft PowerShell. Remediation of issues associated with delivering packages in a large and technically complex environment. Working knowledge in the maintenance of a SOE environment, including deployment of software updates to a geographically dispersed SOE. Excellent written and verbal communication & liaison skills. Ability to work well in a team environment. Provide responsive and client focussed support. Ability to analyse technical processes and provide advice for service delivery and improvement.
