Join to apply for the Stormwater Projects Engineer role at Knox City Council We have an exciting opportunity for a Civil or Environmental Engineer to join our Strategic Integrated Stormwater Team. As our new Stormwater Projects Engineer, you will make a difference daily by providing engineering insight and support across the team. Responsibilities Provide advice in relation to public and corporate enquiries regarding integrated stormwater matters of a general and specific nature, including providing stormwater design advice. Provide technical direction and conditions for Building, Town Planning and Subdivisional development referrals within statutory timeframes. Investigate and action stormwater matters including flooding and stormwater quality and stormwater harvesting requirements. Collect and analyse data for the preparation of stormwater strategies and catchment master plans as requested. Undertake investigations, provide technical advice and prepare technical reports on stormwater-related matters, including amendments to existing strategies, guidelines and standard drawings. Accurate and timely completion of communications and correspondence. Support the delivery of Capital Works projects including investigation, design, and procurement. Actively participate in discussions with State and Federal Authorities such as the Department of Transport & Planning, Department of Energy, Environment & Climate Action, etc., Utility Service Providers, Telecommunications, Water Authorities, Local Councils and other planning and development related authorities regarding provision of integrated Stormwater services. Actively participate in Council’s approach to performance, development and review process Work & Development Plan. This role may also be required to carry out other such duties as are within the limits of the employee’s skills competence and training. This is a full‑time permanent/temporary role based at Knox City Council's Civic Centre in Wantirna South. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met. This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $98,353.35 to $107,416.64 (depending on experience) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.
