Labourer Cemeteries

Overview MidCoast Council is seeking a full‑time team member to support maintenance and operational activities in our parks, reserves and cemeteries. The role is based in Tuncurry, New South Wales. The successful candidate will work from the MidCoast Council Depot at Grey GUm Road and from other Council sites across the MidCoast Region. Responsibilities Perform safe and efficient cemetery operations such as manual excavation and backfilling of graves, ash interments, and memorial plaque installations. Operate a range of vehicle and plant items relevant to cemeteries and open‑space maintenance activities. Assist with grounds maintenance and cleaning tasks in cemeteries and open spaces. Qualifications and Requirements WHS general induction for construction NSW (White Card). Hold an MR licence or higher. Pre‑employment medical check (drug and alcohol test, sight, hearing, functional and medical component). Salary and Work Schedule Commencing salary $53,985 plus superannuation (negotiable based on skills and experience). Full‑time; 38 hours per week, 6:30 am‑3:30 pm; fortnightly rostered day off.
