The Opportunity: Full-Time | Ongoing contract of employment. PW4 $66,921 - $72,661 per annum pro rata + 12% super + leave loading (dependent on qualifications and experience). Moorabbin Campus – onsite parking with close proximity to public transport. The Bachelor of Nursing and Diploma of Nursing programs at Holmesglen are ANMAC‑accredited and approved by the NMBA, providing students with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience required for national registration. Delivered across our Bourke Street and Moorabbin campuses, the programs offer hands‑on learning through simulated labs, virtual reality technology, and immersive patient scenarios in our world‑class simulation facility. Students also benefit from unique intra‑professional learning opportunities each semester, collaborating across programs to strengthen their clinical skills and professional practice. Join our dedicated Nursing Education team as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant and play a vital role in supporting the next generation of nurses. This hands‑on position ensures our practice‑based teaching laboratories are safe, organised, and ready for engaging learning experiences. Working closely with educators, students, and the Clinical Lab Manager, you’ll help prepare equipment, manage inventory, and maintain high standards of safety and quality. As a Clinical Laboratory Assistant, you will: Support the preparation, setup, and pack‑down of nursing clinical laboratories for practical teaching sessions. Maintain and organise equipment, materials, and consumables to ensure classes run smoothly and efficiently. Provide hands‑on technical support to educators and students during laboratory sessions. Uphold high standards of safety, cleanliness, and sustainability within all laboratory spaces. Monitor inventory, manage stock levels, and assist with maintenance schedules and supplier coordination. To be successful, you’ll have: Practical experience supporting clinical or educational laboratories, with strong knowledge of nursing equipment, safety, and hygiene standards. A solid understanding of workplace health, safety, and infection control practices to ensure a safe and engaging learning environment. Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work efficiently, and keep laboratory operations running smoothly. Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the confidence to engage positively with staff, students, and external partners. A proactive, adaptable, and values‑driven approach, with a passion for continuous improvement and sustainability. A Diploma of Nursing (Enrolled Nurse) or relevant tertiary qualification is preferred, along with a valid Victorian Driver’s Licence. WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining an ‘employee’ Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.
