Laboratory Assistant

Veritus Research is an exciting clinical trial business, delivering innovative medical trials to volunteer participants. We are looking for Laboratory Assistant to join our team and a state of the art clinical trials facility in Bayswater. Rare and excellent opportunity for Laboratory specialists to develop upon your existing skills and experiences. Laboratory Assistants will join the Veritus Clinical Trials Laboratory services, ensuring the Lab runs in accordance with IATA, OH&S standards, GCP, clinical trial protocols, trial specific Laboratory Manuals and Veritus Research policies. We are seeking casual employees with 3-4 days per week availability with the opportunity to progress to full time. To be successful in the role you will: Plan and coordinate various clinical trial laboratory activities. Perform administrative duties, supervise and assist staff members, oversee sample processing and management of study lab kits and inventory, and ensure that all processing is completed on time and that samples transit to their next destination smoothly. Ensure processes are in place for accuracy in sample handling and processing to ensure sample integrity is maintained and company reputation is upheld with external vendors. Oversee laboratory-related queries and ensures they are addressed contemporaneously and actioned accordingly. Ensure that all company OH&S requirements are observed. Involved with the processing of samples within the Laboratory. Maintain a high quality, team focused, accurate and efficient work environment. The ability to determine the correct sample requirements for the tests requested. Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external clients. Minimum 2 years laboratory experience is essential. Clinical Trial experience highly regarded.
