Employment Type : VariousPosition Classification : Technical Assistant Grade 2Remuneration : $31.21 - $32.41 per hour plus superannuationHours Per Week : 38 / 16Location : Prince of Wales About the opportunity NSW Health Pathology currently have two opportunities available for a Full Time Permanent and a Part Time Permanent Medical Laboratory Assistant, in the Central Specimen Reception department of NSW Health Pathology at Randwick. The full-time role involves a 7-day rotating roster with start times varying from 05:00 to 22:30. The roster includes public holidays to be worked on a rostered basis. The part-time role (16 hours per week) is primarily required to work Thursdays and Fridays 8.30am to 5.00pm but may be required to cover other 24-7 shifts as required by the department. Requirements A working knowledge of, or demonstrated ability to learn, all aspects of the laboratory environment relevant to the Department Demonstrated ability to maintain high-quality work output while managing competing priorities Demonstrated customer service experience and skills, preferably in a laboratory environment Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills combined with the ability to investigate and resolve general issues within the laboratory environment Excellent data entry skills including high attention to detail and data accuracy Awareness of legislation, policies and requirements relevant to a laboratory setting Ability and willingness to work shifts, on a 24-7 rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays Demonstrated experience in a laboratory or similar environment Our Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion NSW Health Pathology is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
