We are looking for experienced Senior Policy Officers with a focus on Cabinet who will contribute to complex projects, deliver strategic outcomes and inspire our team. You will be joining a friendly and supportive team passionate about providing accurate and timely Cabinet services and strategic policy advice for the Department. Don't let this one pass you by In this role you will Be part of a team providing high level advice and support to the executives, Secretary and the Ministers Contribute to delivery of Cabinet outcomes and ensure delivery of high quality coordination, analysis and advice Provide corporate support in the development and delivery of broader policy or project initiatives Help train Departmental staff in understanding the Cabinet context and processes Guide and mentor others in the team, help to ensure a strongly cohesive and collaborative team culture. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to provide accurate, clear and comprehensive advice in short timeframes Proven experience liaising and consulting with internal and external stakeholders on complex and sensitive issues, including with Ministerial Offices and Senior Executives Ideally, experience with Cabinet services, previous experience working in policy development and analysis is also valued Ability to think strategically, supported by highly tuned review and analysis skills to develop and implement practical solutions to complex matters High attention to detail, well-developed organisational skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, high-volume environment with tight deadlines to manage rapidly changing priorities and conflicting perspectives Passion, enthusiasm, resilience, and energy to thrive in an agile and adaptive environment A solid understanding of how government works or experience interpreting/implementing policies that support Government agencies.
