Maintenance Caretaker

Ivory Palm Resort is seeking an experienced Maintenance Caretaker / Handyman to join our team and help maintain our property to the highest standards. About the Role This is a hands‑on, varied position where you'll be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of our maintenance department. From guest rooms and resort amenities to grounds and gardens, you'll play a vital role in ensuring our property performs at its best and our guests enjoy a flawless stay. Key Responsibilities Undertake general property repairs and maintenance across all areas of the resort Maintain all guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities Implement and support the preventative maintenance program Conduct regular inspections and report faults promptly Clean and test pools, maintain BBQ facilities, and care for outdoor areas Manage equipment and maintain accurate inventories Complete daily work records, service schedules, and department paperwork Provide induction and supervision of external contractors as required Assist guests and the resort team as needed What You'll Bring Previous hands‑on building or property maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or resort environment Experience with preventative maintenance programs Understanding of basic OH&S principles and chemical handling Strong organizational and time management skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent interpersonal and communication skills A proactive, can‑do attitude and genuine customer service focus Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekdays, weekends and public holidays Unlimited work rights in Australia What Makes You Stand Out Energy and positivity, a dedication to getting the small details right, competence in multi‑tasking, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, busy environment.
