Employment Type: Full-time (live-in position) Location: Remote coastal location, Western Australia MAINTENANCE AND CARETAKER COUPLE Overview We are seeking a capable, motivated, and self-sufficient couple to take on a live-in caretaker and maintenance position at a remote coastal property. The role involves responsibility for the overall upkeep, presentation, and maintenance of all buildings, plant, equipment, and supporting infrastructure on site. This is a hands‑on lifestyle opportunity that would suit a practical, resourceful couple who enjoy working together, are comfortable in remote environments, and take pride in maintaining assets to a high standard. The couple will form an integral part of a wider operations team, liaising closely with our head office and operational personnel. Key Responsibilities Maintenance and Operations Undertake routine maintenance of buildings, accommodation, jetties, plant, and machinery and general landscaping. Perform basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical repairs as required. Manage fuel, power, and water systems (generators, solar, desalination, and pumps). Maintain safe and reliable operation of all site infrastructure and utilities. Keep maintenance logs, asset condition reports, and inventory records up to date. Caretaking and Property Presentation Ensure all site facilities and surrounding areas are clean, tidy, and well‑presented. Manage grounds, walkways, and external areas to ensure safety and presentation standards. Oversee waste management, recycling, and general environmental housekeeping. Monitor and maintain site security, storage, and emergency systems. Coordination and Communication Liaise regularly with head office and operational staff to plan maintenance schedules and logistics. Coordinate supplies, materials, and equipment deliveries with support teams. Assist visiting trades, contractors, and management personnel on site. Provide timely updates on maintenance progress, infrastructure needs, and site status. Health, Safety, and Environment Promote and maintain a safe work environment at all times. Comply with company policies, safety standards, and environmental management practices. Ensure emergency equipment and procedures are maintained and understood. Adopt sustainable practices to reduce waste and conserve resources. Skills and Attributes Broad practical skill set across trades (mechanical, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, etc.). Demonstrated troubleshooting ability and hands‑on approach to problem‑solving. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong sense of responsibility, integrity, and teamwork. Self‑sufficient and comfortable working with minimal supervision. Basic computer literacy for reporting and communication. Previous remote living or marine/coastal experience advantageous. Lifestyle and Support This is a live‑in position offering on‑site accommodation, utilities, and communication access. Regular leave arrangements are provided to ensure a balanced lifestyle, with travel logistics. The couple will work closely with our operational management and in‑house maintenance teams, who provide ongoing technical support, materials, and scheduled assistance.
