Revenue Assurance Officer – Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) is an independent Commonwealth statutory authority responsible for the regulation of broadcasting, radiocommunications, telecommunications and some online content. The Finance, Reporting and Operations Branch ensures the financial sustainability and security of the ACMA, and the Revenue, Cost Recovery, Financial Statements & Reporting Section provides assurance over various revenue streams collected on behalf of the Commonwealth. About the role This is a unique opportunity for a numbers enthusiast to conduct research and analysis, using judgement and initiative to interrogate reporting and information received (e.g., financial data) in support of the Revenue Assurance Team objectives. As a Revenue Assurance Officer / Senior Revenue Assurance Officer, you will interpret reporting submitted by industry participants, working autonomously within a small team. Key Duties Assess, analyse and interpret reporting submitted by industry participants for the Telecommunications Industry Levy, Eligible Revenue Reporting, and the Regional Broadband Scheme. Engage in problem‑solving to interrogate and understand data, using initiative and curiosity to question and investigate further, including gathering data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy. Make sound decisions and exercise judgement when determining potential levy or charge to be applied against industry participants. Produce well‑developed advice to stakeholders. Document clear and robust rationales supporting your analysis and decision‑making. Provide subject‑matter expertise on ACMA’s revenue streams and cost recovery activities. Actively support key internal and external stakeholder relationships. Assist with the administration of assurance procedures, including interpreting and applying complex legislation to ACMA’s financial policies and revenue assurance procedures to ensure regulatory compliance. Eligibility & Requirements To be eligible for employment with ACMA, applicants must be an Australian citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a baseline Level Security Clearance.
