Interstate Float & Mini Quad Operator - Full-time & Casual Positions Southern Cross Heavy Haulage is a privately owned company specialising in transporting over-dimensional and over-mass cargo to various locations nationally. We are currently seeking highly motivated and suitably qualified heavy haulage drivers of low loader and mini-quad combinations to transport and deliver freight to specified destinations nationally. Perth and Brisbane/Gold Coast based roles currently available. Key Responsibilities; Loading & unloading of varying over-dimensional and over-mass cargo. Securing and restraining all cargo in a safe manner and as per operational requirements Completing pre-start and other operational checklists and administrative paperwork. Transporting cargo to and from various locations nationally Complying with fatigue management and road rules and regulations Complying with Company Policies and procedures Ensuring adherence to all state permitting legislation Ensure all relevant permits are carried at all times Clean, service and maintain equipment provided. As the successful applicant you will; Hold a current MC Driver's License Provide a current Commercial Drivers Medical Report Provide evidence of safe driving record Have completed TLIF005 Fatigue Management Certification or equivalent. Have experience restraining over-dimensional and over-mass loads Have experience with transporting over-dimensional and over-mass loads Have experience with heavy haulage transport equipment, including low loaders and platforms and drop decks. Have the ability to work away from home for extended periods of time. Be highly motivated with the ability to work unsupervised Show a detailed understanding of road statutory and regulatory permit requirements and proven track record understanding and adhering to operating conditions. Have good written and verbal communication skills Computer literacy is an advantage Successful applicants will be offered; Late model, well maintained equipment Excellent above award remuneration and superannuation Uniform Company Phone Flexibility and ability to choose their own base/location within the routes of regular pick up and drop off locations of the company.
