The key accountabilities of the role Technical Strategy: develop and implement ReadyTech’s technical strategy, align it with overall business goals, identify technology trends, evaluate new technologies and create a roadmap to achieve business objectives. Technical Operations: ensure the technology infrastructure, systems, budgets and applications operate efficiently, securely, reliably, scalably and in compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Technical Talent Management: hire, develop and retain technical talent, build a high‑performance culture, provide professional development opportunities and foster an environment of innovation and collaboration. Technical Stakeholder Management: build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, communicate technical information to non‑technical audiences, collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage relationships with external technology partners and vendors. The key responsibilities of the role Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand needs and align technology solutions with ReadyTech’s overall goals, working with business leaders, product teams and other stakeholders to identify technology requirements. Develop and execute the technology strategy, identify new trends, evaluate existing systems and infrastructure and recommend improvements or upgrades. Drive technical innovation, foster a culture of continuous improvement and learning, and explore opportunities to enhance the segment’s technical capabilities. Foster the professional growth of the technical team through mentorship, guidance, a collaborative work environment and support for adopting emerging technologies and professional development opportunities. The key requirements for the role Leadership – inspire and motivate a technical team to achieve goals aligned with organisational objectives. Strategic thinking – develop and maintain technology strategies that support business goals, anticipate technology trends and plan accordingly. Technical expertise – strong background, familiarity with a broad range of technologies and ability to evaluate and select solutions. Communication – explain technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders in clear terms. Problem‑solving – analyse complex problems, develop creative, data‑driven solutions and resolve issues quickly. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology or a related field. 10+ years of experience in a technology leadership role. Experience managing teams of 20+ technical professionals. Proven track record of developing and executing technology strategies aligned with business goals. Experience with software development methodologies, infrastructure management and information security.
