About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Trade Counter Salesperson to join our friendly team at our Long Jetty branch . This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys face-to-face customer interaction, and takes pride in providing practical solutions for our trade and retail customers. Responsibilities As part of your day, you’ll: Deliver exceptional over-the-counter customer service and technical product support. Prepare quotes, process sales orders, and ensure invoicing accuracy. Assist with warehousing duties, including stock receipt, pick/pack, and delivery coordination. Operate a forklift and maintain a safe, clean, and organised workspace. Work closely with your team and Branch Manager to ensure smooth daily operations. This is a hands-on role where every day brings variety—from serving loyal trade customers to managing stock and supporting warehouse logistics. Requirements You’re a motivated and reliable team player with a strong work ethic and a passion for great service. To succeed in this role, you’ll need: Previous experience in trade counter sales, warehouse, or similar environment. A current Manual Driver’s Licence and Forklift Licence (essential). Strong attention to detail , organisational, and time management skills. A ‘can-do’ attitude with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills . Basic computer literacy (experience with stock management systems such as M3 is advantageous). Knowledge of the plumbing or building industry (highly regarded).
