Permanent part time role offering 60.8 hours per fortnight with flexible work arrangements Join our BaptistCare Home Care Team working with our clients around the Canberra Region Be part of a strong and caring community that values personal well-being and one another About the role BaptistCare is seeking an experienced and competent Chaplain to minister to the spiritual and emotional needs of community aged care clients in the Canberra Region ACT / NSW. The Chaplain will visit clients in their homes or in hospital and provide quality person‑centred chaplaincy / pastoral care that is consistent with BaptistCares Purpose and Values. This is a permanent part‑time role offering 60.8 hours per fortnight with flexible workdays. The successful applicant will have Tertiary qualifications in chaplaincy / pastoral care OR tertiary theological qualifications with a willingness to undertake chaplaincy / pastoral care specific training within the first 12 months of employment. Ability to demonstrate a high level of Christian spiritual maturity with a pastoral heart Active involvement in and recommendation from a local Christian Church Chaplaincy or pastoral care experience Experience working in collaborative multi-disciplinary settings Current Working with Children Check Willingness to undergo a police check A valid drivers license Essential Competencies A personal commitment to growth in the Christian faith Ability to recognise the spiritual and pastoral needs of clients and to design deliver and evaluate person centred spiritual care initiatives in accordance with professional codes and standards of conduct.
