Operations Supervisor

Operations Supervisor , Amazon Logistics Amazon Logistics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in driving innovation and ensuring effective execution within transportation networks. This is a full-time role within the Amazon Logistics team. The position requires a proactive leader capable of inspiring a team to achieve performance goals and productivity standards that align with company objectives. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for monitoring team attendance and workflow, working closely with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager to identify and resolve any issues that may arise. The Operations Supervisor will work on full‑time shifts supporting our Logistics team in a 24/7 environment where shifts may change to accommodate business needs. Key Job Responsibilities Contribute to fostering a strong health and safety culture by ensuring adherence to relevant laws and internal policies Assist in the daily oversight and management of departmental tasks Conduct staff debriefs, ensuring all paperwork is accurately and thoroughly completed Perform duties in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Allocate tasks to staff as needed to maintain workflow and meet daily performance targets Ensure adequate staffing levels for your area, including managing call‑outs for training, addressing absences, overseeing performance, providing coaching, and continually monitoring department productivity Support the onboarding and training of new associates to ensure they possess the necessary knowledge to perform required tasks Collaborate with the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in tracking, analyzing, and reporting Exchange Point metrics Support the Operations Shift Manager and Delivery Station Manager in identifying and understanding factors contributing to the achievement or shortfall of Exchange Point objectives Monitor and report on associate hours and schedules Address and resolve process‑related issues within the area as needed Ensure timely and accurate reporting of equipment defects Basic Qualifications Experience in warehouse operations Experience in logistics Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach Preferred Qualifications Experience managing teams Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement Experience with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word Acknowledgement Of Country In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
