Patient Services Assistant – Alfred Health Location: Sandringham HospitalEmployment type: Part‑time (60 hours per fortnight) – Permanent position Overview Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, research, and education, serving the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne and planning to merge into Bayside Health in 2026. As a Patient Services Assistant, you will support ward operations by delivering meals, making beds, and performing general cleaning duties across the hospital wards. Responsibilities Deliver meals to ward locations and ensure timely service. Make beds and perform general cleaning duties. Maintain and operate medical kitchen and ward equipment safely. Contribute to Occupational Health and Safety practices. Uphold infection control principles in all activities. Maintain accurate records of meal deliveries and cleaning logs. Skills & Experience Required Background in food services within health or aged‑care facilities. Experience working in a hospital environment. Strong communication and customer‑service skills. Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple areas. Reliability, trustworthiness, and a flexible, motivated attitude. Good written and verbal communication abilities.
