Taskforce Project Officer – ASIC ASIC Darwin, Northern Territory, Australia. Join ASIC's Criminal Intelligence Unit as a Taskforce Project Officer, supporting multi‑agency taskforces and working groups to combat serious financial crime. Location: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, or Canberra Salary: starting from $127,641 plus 15.4% superannuation Role type: Temporary (until 30 June 2027) Application deadline: 11:59pm AEDT Thursday, 4 December 2025 Open to current APS employees seeking a career break; secondment arrangements may be considered. Responsibilities Prepare high‑quality reports, presentations and briefing materials to support ASIC's taskforce and working group commitments. Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders, align business goals and manage expectations to deliver outcomes. Develop and maintain reporting standards, ensuring compliance with governance, risk controls and organisational priorities. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Strategic Reporting, Procurement, Privacy, Cyber Security) to deliver projects efficiently. Manage compliance tasks, including gatekeeper lists, breach notifications, legal instruments and privacy impact assessments. Identify and implement process improvements for greater efficiency. Demonstrate strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. About You Tertiary qualifications in Business, Social Science, Law or equivalent experience in programme management/administration. Ability to obtain Negative Vetting Level 1 security clearance. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and presentations. Excellent analytical skills with experience in data analysis, visualisation and providing actionable recommendations. Proven stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint and reporting tools (e.g., Power BI). Ability to innovate, drive change and identify process improvements. Experience in government or multi‑agency taskforces/projects is desirable.
