Principal Treasury Analyst

Join us as a Principal Treasury Analyst and become a vital member of our multidisciplinary Energy and Financial Institutions team. In this pivotal role, you will guide the development and implementation of fiscally sound public policies, ensuring they align with the long-term interests of Queenslanders and the directives of the government of the day.In this role, you will:Provide high level advice, analysis and guidance to Treasury executive and senior management, other agencies and Ministers on GOC-related issues including:− financial and non-financial performance, governance, investment decisionmaking, pricing, regulation, and business development opportunities for Government-owned businesses; and− market and industry reforms affecting the energy, water, transport and financial industry sectors.Apply commercial and/or relevant policy and governance frameworks in providing advice, ensuring alignment with Government priorities and objectives and supporting the delivery of innovative and workable solutions to minimise risk exposure and maximise opportunities for Queensland. Build and foster constructive relationships within Treasury, other departments and GOCs to leverage Treasury's influence in the development and provision of policy advice.Exercise sound judgment, authority and influence to effectively coordinate the management of client requirements and competing work unit priorities. Assist with GPG's input into the State Budget process, including the preparation of publications and presentations. Represent Treasury at meetings, committees and interdepartmental working groups.
