An exciting opportunity is available for a Civil Leading Hand to join our flexible team based in Townsville. A competitive remuneration is on offer, Monday to Friday roster with Saturdays available. ABOUT THE ROLE: Competitive rates. Be part of a major infrastructure project with consistent, ongoing work. Work with a team that values safety, respect, and teamwork. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead a crew in daily civil construction tasks including earthworks, drainage, roadworks, and concreting. Work closely with the Site Supervisor to deliver daily targets safely and efficiently. Coordinate on‑site machinery and subcontractor activities. Conduct pre‑starts, toolbox talks, and safety briefings. Promote and uphold a strong safety culture on site. Ensure all works are completed to quality standards and project specs. Assist with hands‑on tasks as needed. ABOUT YOU: Previous experience minimum 3 years as a Leading Hand on civil projects. Strong understanding of general civil works, especially in bulk earthworks and road construction. White Card (Construction Induction) – essential. Operating tickets (e.g. Excavator, Roller, Loader) – highly regarded. Ability to read and work from plans. National Police Check or ability to obtain. Confident communicator and team motivator.
