Small Engine Mechanic

This is a full-time role as a Small Engine Mechanic at Bendigo Mower Service. As a Small Engine Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing and servicing a variety of small engines, including tractor mowers, zero turn mowers, push mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and other outdoor power equipment. This is a key role within our Service team, contributing to the overall success and growth of our business. What you'll be doing Conduct inspections, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on small engines Service and maintain small engine equipment according to manufacturer specifications Order and install replacement parts as needed Provide exceptional customer service by advising customers on maintenance and repair requirements Maintain and document records of all work performed Collaborate with the sales team to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service delivery What we're looking for Formal qualification in small engine repair or a related automotive trade Minimum 2 years' experience as a Small Engine Mechanic or in a similar role Strong technical skills and understanding of small engine components and systems Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and analytical skills Customer-focused approach with great communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Keen attention to detail and commitment to safety What we offer Competitive salary and ongoing training and development opportunities Employer superannuation contributions Employee discount on in-store purchases Opportunities for career progression within the company About us Hume and Iser Mitre 10 recently acquired BMS to enhance our offering to our wide range of customers we are a leading hardware retailer in regional Victoria, known for our exceptional customer service and extensive range of products.
