The opportunity We are seeking a versatile and inspiring Speech & Drama Teacher to join our Drama & Dance team on a full time or part time (0.7 FTE), 12 months fixed term with an opportunity for ongoing employment. Commencing Term 1 2026. In this role, you will teach students across the Junior and Senior School, nurturing expressive skills, supporting performance development and empowering students to communicate with confidence, clarity and creativity. You’ll have the opportunity to influence the growth of young performers while contributing to Korowa’s rich culture of artistic excellence. Key responsibilities Design and deliver engaging Speech & Drama lessons that build confidence, vocal technique, expressive skills and performance craft Design and deliver Drama curriculum for Drama clubs aligned with Primary Years Victorian Curriculum Builds and maintains strong enrollment levels by promoting and enhancing the Speech & Drama program Inspire and challenge students through creative, inclusive and student-centred learning experiences Prepare and support students for performances, examinations, showcases and school-based events Foster an environment where students feel safe to explore, take artistic risks and grow as performers Collaborate with colleagues across the Performing Arts to support productions, events and cross-disciplinary projects Provide meaningful, timely feedback and encourage reflection to promote continuous student growth Build respectful, supportive relationships with students, staff and families The successful applicant will demonstrate Experience teaching Speech & Drama in a school, studio or performing arts setting (Junior and/or Senior School experience highly regarded) Strong knowledge of vocal technique, dramatic interpretation, performance skills and/or exam preparation (ASCA, AMEB, Trinity, etc.) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build genuine connections with students and families Passion, creativity and enthusiasm for empowering young people to express themselves with clarity, confidence and authenticity Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute positively to the Performing Arts culture Highly desirable: VIT registration and experience working on co-curricular Performing Arts programs such as school productions Competitive salary + 13% superannuation + option to salary package Additional 2 days leave + 17.5% annual leave loading Access to excellent facilities, professional development and wellbeing resources, including a state‑of‑the‑art sports, aquatic and fitness centre Convenient onsite parking + close proximity to public transport Supportive leadership team + positive, inclusive workplace culture How to apply Applications should be addressed to Frances Booth, Principal .
