Research Assistant – Identified (National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre) Location: Randwick, Sydney (hybrid work – 1–2 days in office, 3–4 days working from home; remote arrangements considered). Employment Type: Full‑time (35 hours per week) Duration: Fixed term until 30 June 2026 Remuneration: $88,717 base + 17% superannuation, leave loading; up to 10 days paid culture leave annually for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff. Role Overview A key support role within the Tobacco Research Group, assisting with the implementation and execution of clinical trials. Duties include participant outreach, data quality checks, clinical evaluation and administrative project management. Accountabilities & Responsibilities Assist with project coordination and monitoring of ongoing clinical trials. Collect participant data, track progress, and support research reports, peer‑reviewed publications and presentations. Provide administrative support to ensure day‑to‑day scheduling and prioritisation of trial‑related activities. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and data custodians for timely project implementation. Maintain data management, progress tracking and reporting. Demonstrate organisational, project‑management and communication skills. Eligibility & Qualifications This is a designated Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander position. Confirmation of Aboriginality is required before an offer is made. Degree in behavioural sciences, public health or a related field, or demonstrated experience working with First Nations people. Experience in participant data collection, trial monitoring and research reporting. Strong organisational, project‑management skills and the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
