Pastoral Care Practitioner – Vietnamese and/or Chinese language proficiency Role at Calvary Health Care, Permanent Part‑time 0.4 FTE (15.2 hrs / 2 days per week) at Calvary Springvale, Springvale location, VIC. Location: Springvale, VIC, 3171 Employment type: Permanent part‑time 0.4 FTE Closing date: 28/12/2025 Position Summary Help shape the provision of spiritual and pastoral care of residents, families and staff at Calvary, ensuring their diverse spiritual needs are identified and responded to with exceptional sensitivity, compassion, knowledge and skill. The Pastoral Care Practitioner participates as a member of the care team in the delivery of services to residents and their family members, and is responsible for ensuring that the diverse pastoral and spiritual needs of residents, their families and staff are identified and responded to. Key Responsibilities Providing spiritual care support to residents according to triage priorities Providing spiritual care support to residents’ family members and to staff as required Establishing and maintaining collaborative relationships with key stakeholders About You A tertiary qualification in pastoral care, spiritual direction, counselling or similar Clinical Pastoral Education and/or equivalent Recent experience working in a similar role in aged care, health care or community care Established skills in preparation, creation, leadership and facilitation of meaningful rituals Eligibility for SCA certified membership Vietnamese and/or Chinese language proficiency (highly desired) Benefits NFP salary packaging benefits, discounted health insurance and gym memberships Paid parental leave Training, development pathways and career opportunities Flexible hours that make sense for you Application Process As part of the application process, you will be required to complete pre‑employment checks which may include, but are not limited to reference checks, work rights, criminal history check, NDIS/WWCC/WWVP checks, and a health evaluation to ensure suitability for the role.
