Supported by the Victorian Department of Health and aligned with significant state health reforms, this role is designed for a leader who is ready to make a profound impact on the healthcare landscape.About North East Pathology NetworkThe North East Pathology Network represents a collaborative initiative among Austin, Eastern, and Northern Health services, funded by the 2021-22 Victorian State Budget to establish a unified Laboratory Information System. As a newly created entity, it aims to consolidate expertise and resources to enhance public pathology services, offering expansive growth and innovation potential. The network will leverage the substantial capabilities of these leading departments to set new standards in pathology service delivery.About the RoleThe CEO of the North East Pathology Network will play a pivotal role in establishing the network's strategic direction, operational frameworks, and organisational culture. You will lead the integration of services, oversee a significant budget, and manage a diverse team of over 600 professionals.Your leadership will drive the implementation of a comprehensive digital transformation and foster a unified culture that distinguishes the network in Victoria.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership: Develop and execute a long-term strategy and operational plans, fostering a shared vision and culture across the network.Governance and Compliance: Establish robust governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with legislative and quality standards.Operational Excellence: Spearhead the delivery of high-quality, efficient pathology services that meet the needs of the healthcare providers and their communities.Financial Stewardship: Formulate financial strategies and manage budgets to ensure the network's sustainability and growth.People Management: Build and lead a high-performing team, promoting a culture of excellence, safety, and inclusivity.The ideal candidate should have superior strategic leadership skills and proven business acumen at an executive level.
