The CSA Mine is located in Cobar NSW and is Australia’s highest-grade copper mine. We are located 11 kilometres north-west of Cobar, central western New South Wales. At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia’s deepest underground mines. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors. Harmony is the largest gold producer by volume in South Africa and is a significant operator of gold tailings retreatment facilities. In Papua New Guinea, Harmony owns and operates the Hidden Valley mine and owns 50% of the Tier 1 Wafi-Golpu copper-gold project. In Australia, Harmony owns the high-grade CSA copper mine in Cobar, NSW and is currently preparing to progress the Execution Phase of the Eva Copper Mine Project in QLD. These assets are supported by the Harmony Australasia regional corporate office located in Milton, Brisbane. About the Role: We’re seeking a skilled Shotcrete Operator to join our dynamic team; you will play a crucial role in ensuring the structural integrity and safety of underground workings and contribute to the mine’s overall stability and support systems. Key Responsibilities: Operate shotcrete equipment for ground support in underground mine areas. Prepare, mix, and apply shotcrete according to safety and engineering standards. Conduct pre‑operational checks and maintenance on shotcrete machinery. Monitor shotcrete application, ensuring quality and adherence to specifications. Collaborate with underground teams to plan and prioritize shotcreting activities. Follow strict safety protocols and report any hazards or incidents. About you: Previous experience as a Shotcrete Operator in underground mining environments. Proficiency in operating shotcrete spraying machines (manual and robotic). Understanding of shotcrete mix designs and application techniques. Strong commitment to safety and adherence to OH&S regulations. Ability to work in a challenging, team‑oriented environment. Relevant certifications/licences (e.g., confined spaces, working at heights, and underground competency). Conditions: This position will be offered on a 7/7 roster, and commute options include residential or DIDO. Above EA rates of pay and excellent benefits on offer. Relocation costs and subsidised housing will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar. CSA also provides Pool & Gym Reimbursements to our employees and their dependants.
