Location: Auckland Type: Permanent, full time Hybrid role, happy to talk flexible working The opportunity We have an opportunity for a Product Owner to work with our Process Excellence Squad with a view to simplifying processes to save time and enhance the customer experience. You’ll lead cross‑functional agile teams in translating business goals and customer needs into user‑focused digital solutions. The squad will also deliver other business initiatives outside of process improvements. Your new role Reporting to the General Manager, Operations & Risk, you’ll collaborate with key stakeholders including Heads of Delivery, Testing, and Platforms. While this role has no direct reports, you’ll lead through influence, driving execution via agile teams and ensuring quality from development through go‑live. What you’ll do: Define the value stream vision and requirements based on customer needs and business objectives. Own the product roadmap, prioritise backlog items, and lead agile delivery teams to achieve strategic outcomes. Manage implementation plans, including resource capacity and budget. Maintain and improve understanding of user needs, motivations, and behaviours to influence rewarding customer experiences. Communicate progress through showcases, stand‑ups, and visual boards. About you You’re an experienced leader with a track record of delivering projects and guiding agile teams. You bring: Expertise in technology, systems, and process change. Hands‑on experience with agile practices (SAFe preferred). Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps. Proven ability to create and execute business plans and roadmaps. Strong background in business process optimisation.
